When God Shows Up
Dusty noticed something wasn't right when he started having frequent trips to the bathroom without success. These urges and symptoms triggered memories from years before when his GI doctor had found polyps during a routine colonoscopy. Based on his past experiences and the amount of blood he was losing in the bathroom, he new he needed to get help. After a few trips in and out of the ER, Dusty was admitted to the hospital and diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis (UC) in December 2017, His already weakened body fought the battle against UC for over a month. Unfortunately, the medications he was given were unsuccessful in treating his condition resulting in his colon being removed in January 2018.

Thank you so much for the care package. It brightened my day & was very thoughtful. It's been a tough adjustment living with an ileostomy but people like you make it easier.
