No Guts All Glory Scholarship Fund

No Guts All Glory is a non-profit that gives back to patients who are suffering from Crohn's, Ulcerative Colitis, or colon cancer. It is our mission to make sure that others do not feel alone in their disease. One way we can achieve this mission is to make sure that students who have seen the impact this disease can have on a family, know they are not alone. We know the struggles that our own kids went through seeing their dad suffer from Ulcerative Colitis in 2018. This disease not only impacted their dad, but had a huge impact on their education as well. We want to pay it forward to kids like our own. We want to be able to support students in our own community that have been impacted by IBD either directly themselves, or someone in their immediate family by awarding them a $1000 scholarship. This is a one-time gift that will be awarded to graduating seniors within Frisco ISD and sent directly to the colleges or universities the applicant will be attending.

Congratulations 2023 winner: Alexandra Mayo!

We would like to congratulate our first annual scholarship winner, Alexandra Mayo.

She is the daughter of David Mayo and Ann O'Rourke. She is the eldest daughter next to her younger sister Naomi Mayo. Alexandra attended Wakeland High School where she was a member of the Health Occupations Students of America, Rachel’s challenge, cards for a cause, and UNICEF. She has played lacrosse for 10 years, 5 of which were spent playing for Fort Hunt lacrosse in Virginia and 5 spent in Texas playing for both 214 lacrosse and Frisco Fury. Outside of lacrosse, she has been a girls youth lacrosse referee for the past 3 years. Alexandra can not express her gratitude enough towards the Sibley family and their work through No Guts All Glory.

In the fall, Alexandra will be attending Marymount University in Arlington Virginia where she will continue her athletic and academic career by studying to receive a Bachelor’s in Science and Nursing with a minor in computer science while also playing collegiate lacrosse for the women's lacrosse team.
